Borris-Kilcotton GAA set up sticks for annual road hurling tournament 2020 U-15 ‘B’ glory for Ballyroan-Abbey following six point win over Killeshin SEE ALSO – UPDATE: Laois county hurlers and footballers set for busy June GAA Pinterest Kelly and Farrell lead the way as St Joseph’s claim 2020 U-15 glory TAGSBorris-Kilcotton GAA Hurling reminiscent of years gone by is revived by Borris-Kilcotton GAA at their tremendous annual Road Hurling Tournament, which takes place this weekend.The event is the only tournament of its kind held in Laois and is set to take place on Sunday June 2 from Killasmeestia churchm at 3pm.Teams of three work their way along a 5km course over the roads, with competitions for Senior Men, Senior Ladies, U-16 Boys and Girls.There is also a Masters category, so the spectactors on the sideline can get off the ditch and show the young hurlers what they mean by letting loose and driving it!There are fine trophies up for grabs for the winners in each category.To add to the excitement, there is a cabaret and presentation night in the Green Roads along with a BBQ afterwards.There is also plenty of fun and games for children during the competition in the field opposite the church in Killasmeestia.To register a team of three for €30, contact 087 7562890.
