It may not be all that effective, but it is funny. What’s not normal is for police to get in on the shaming action. But that’s the situation police found themselves in when they responded to reports of a vehicle collision on Johnston Road in North Grenville, just south of Ottawa, on December 9, and came face to face with a bug-eyed doggy in the driver’s seat. According to the OPP East Region and reporting by the Ottawa Citizen, the vehicle was left running by its owner when the “pug-like” mutt inside somehow nudged the gear selector – likely with its weird, butt-like face or equally odd face-like butt – and set the vehicle in motion. The owner allegedly sustained minor injuries trying to stop it, but gravity ended up doing the work for him as the van came to rest in a ditch. The inadvertently bad dog was uninjured.Naturally, the pet owners and pun-lovers, including a number from within the OPP itself, came out of the woodwork to drop some clever canine commentary on the Tweet. Got something punny to say about this unpermitted pug? Drop it in the comments, just be sure to pick it up with a plastic bag afterward.   RELATED TAGSFlexNewsOntarioOttawaNorth GrenvilleOntarioOttawa First Look: 2022 Lexus NX The sport-cute’s looks have been softened, but its powertrains and infotainment offerings have been sharpened ‹ Previous Next › Trending in Canada Trending Videoslast_img
